Technology is fast becoming a key tool for prescribers, pharmacists, payers, and the government in the nation's response to the opioid crisis.
Leaders in Congress are currently spearheading efforts to put in place a law that will require electronic prescriptions for controlled substances under Medicare. Several states across the country have already taken the lead in mandating e-prescriptions to prevent doctor shopping and diversion.

The Hill will convene key policymakers, state officials, physicians, and technology experts for a conversation about harnessing technology to tackle the opioid epidemic.
